Hey anime fans! We’ve got some exciting news about the upcoming anime adaptation of `Masuo Kinoko`’s light novel series, `Sozai Saishuka no Isekai Ryokouki`. You might also know it by its English title, `A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai`. The official website just dropped some fresh details, including the main voice cast and who will be handling the opening theme song!
Mark your calendars, because this new adventure is set to premiere sometime in October 2025. The anime is being brought to life by the joint efforts of `Tatsunoko Production` and `SynergySP`.

Who’s Handling the Theme Song?
Getting us hyped for the start of each episode will be the Nijisanji Vtuber unit `Nornis`. They’ll be performing the opening theme for the series. You might recognize them from their work on Good Night World.
The Creative Team Behind the Animation
Bringing an isekai story to the screen takes a talented crew! Directing the series is `Yoshinori Odaka`, known for titles like Kyuujitsu no Warumono-san. `Gigaemon Ichikawa`, who handled the series composition for shows like Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei, is in charge of the series structure. Designing the characters for the anime is `Mayumi Watanabe`, who previously worked on Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai.
About the Original Story
The anime is based on the adventure fantasy light novel series written by `Masuo Kinoko`. The story actually started as a submission to the 9th Alphapolis Fantasy Novel Award back in 2016, where it impressively snagged both the Grand Prize and the Reader’s Award! `Alphapolis` began publishing the series officially in January 2017 with illustrations by `Senbon Umishima`, who is known for the character design work on Net-juu no Susume. The novel series is still ongoing, with the 16th volume releasing recently on March 30.
The story also has a manga adaptation, illustrated by `Tomozo`. This version kicked off on the `AlphaPolis` website in December 2017. The eighth volume of the manga was released in August 2023.
Good news for international fans – AlphaPolis’ Alpha Manga service is publishing the manga digitally in English! The seventh English e-book volume became available in August 2024.
