The TV anime Blue Lock is teaming up with the Oedo Onsen Monogatari hotel chain for its first-ever collaboration. The limited-time event, titled “Blue Lock × Oedo Onsen Monogatari: Choose the Best Hot Spring. ~Welcome to the Oedo Field Where You Trace the Path of Awakening~”, will run from August 1 to October 31, 2026 (checkout). Reservations open on June 23, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
About Blue Lock
Based on the manga by Kaneshiro Muneyuki and illustrated by Nomura Yuusuke, Blue Lock is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The story follows the “Blue Lock” project, an initiative by the Japan Football Union to create the ultimate striker who can lead Japan to a World Cup victory. Three hundred high school forwards are gathered and forced into a brutal survival competition. The series has become a massive hit thanks to its innovative premise, ego-driven characters, and unpredictable plot. Since the TV anime began in 2022, the franchise has expanded to a theatrical film in 2024, a smartphone game, a stage play, and a live-action film scheduled for summer 2026. A new TV anime series has also been announced.
Collaboration Highlights
Guests staying at participating Oedo Onsen Monogatari hotels can enjoy a variety of exclusive content. The overnight guest limited novelty plan includes a set of five items per booking: a “Blue Lock admission certificate,” a door knob plate, a paper bag, a seal, and either a towel or a pouch (randomly selected).
Life-size character panels and photo booths themed around the series will be set up. Guests can pose with photo props and wear happi coats for pictures, immersing themselves in the world of Blue Lock.
Collaboration-exclusive goods will be sold at hotel gift shops.
Special Features at Five Hotels
Five specific hotels will offer additional experiences. These locations will have special decorations throughout the premises, and a digital photo rally will let guests explore the hotel. By scanning QR codes placed in areas such as the lobby, table tennis corner, and restaurant, participants can collect original digital images. Completing all areas earns a paper lunch mat designed for placing an acrylic stand.
