Fans of the long-running anime series Hetalia World★Stars can now step into the world of their favorite nations with a new line of boots from the ladies’ fashion brand MAYLA. The “Iconic Shoe Object Bootie” is available in three colorways inspired by Italy, Germany, and Japan, each designed to capture the unique aesthetic of the character-nations.

About the Series

Created by Himaruya Hidekazu, the Hetalia manga and anime series personifies real-world countries—such as Italy, Germany, and Japan—into comedic characters who act out historical and current events. The anime first aired in 2008 as Hetalia Axis Powers, with episodes running about four minutes each. It continued through several seasons: Hetalia World Series, Hetalia The Beautiful World, Hetalia The World Twinkle, and finally Hetalia World★Stars. The main cast includes Namikawa Daisuke as Italy, Yasumoto Hiroki as Germany, and Takahashi Hiroki as Japan. Animation production is handled by Studio Deen.

The original manga series Hetalia World☆Stars Gangsta concluded its run in April 2026, but a 20th anniversary event titled “Hetalia World★Stars Anniversary Party” is scheduled for August 2026.

Boot Design Details

The boots are built on a classic button-boot silhouette, but the buttons are replaced with star-shaped studs—a direct nod to the Hetalia World★Stars logo and the series’ cosmic theme. The star studs add a bright, festive accent that makes the footwear unmistakably tied to the franchise.

Inside each boot, the insole is printed with a floral pattern featuring daisies, cornflowers, and cherry blossoms—flowers associated with Italy, Germany, and Japan respectively. Small star motifs are scattered among the flowers, reinforcing the pop-art feel and the world-hopping concept.

Each pair comes in a special display box, making it suitable for collectors who want to show off the boots even when not wearing them.

Pricing and Availability

The “Iconic Shoe Object Bootie” is available for preorder from the MAYLA online store until July 30, 2026, at 17:00 JST. Sizes range from 34 (22–23 cm) to 40 (25–26 cm), with four sizes total. Each pair is priced at 31,900 yen (tax included).

Color options are:

  • Italy (OR)
