Hobby Japan is now accepting pre-orders for a die-cast 1/24 scale completed model of the Suzuki GSX750S KATANA ridden by Hijiri Hideyoshi from the manga Baribari Densetsu. The model is available at the official Post Hobby web store and model shops nationwide.
About the Manga
Baribari Densetsu is a motorcycle manga by Shigeno Shuichi, known for Initial D, serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine during the 1980s bike boom. The series captivated many bike fans with its realistic riding scenes and intense human drama. The story, which begins on public roads, remains a series of memorable scenes for many readers.
This new model recreates the Suzuki GSX750S KATANA ridden by Hijiri Hideyoshi, the rival who fiercely competes with the protagonist and later joins the same team to aim for the world stage. The bike is faithfully reproduced in 1/24 scale as a die-cast completed model.
Model Details
Based on the vehicle as it appears in the series, the model reproduces the distinctive exhaust, handlebars, mirrors, and other custom touches applied to Hideyoshi’s KATANA. The air-cooled four-cylinder engine and characteristic wheels capture the mechanical appeal of the real machine.
The KATANA’s unique styling and presence are condensed into a palm-sized figure.
