The summer 2026 anime Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Itte kara 10-nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita. (abbreviated as Koko Ore) has unveiled the synopsis and preview scene cuts for its first episode, titled “Kaettara Eiyuu ni Natteita” (When I Returned, I Had Become a Hero). The episode is set to air on July 6, 2026.

Based on the light novel series by Ezo Gingitsune, which began serialization on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2018 and is published in print by SB Creative, Koko Ore is a fantasy tale of sacrifice and legend. The manga adaptation, serialized on Manga UP!, has helped push the total series circulation past 4.45 million copies.
The story follows Lac, an S-rank mage in the hero’s party. Alongside hero Eric and warrior Goran, he fights the Demon God King in the dimensional rift. To prevent his comrades’ annihilation, Lac decides to fight alone, shouting, “Leave it to me and go on ahead!” After an unimaginable solitary battle, he defeats the Demon God King. But when he returns to his world, ten years have passed, and Lac has become a legendary hero who sacrificed himself to save the world. Due to the battle’s effects, his appearance has become younger, so he hides his identity and lives as an F-rank adventurer named Rock alongside his former and new companions.
