The BL manga Rainen no Koto o Ie, Ore ga Warau (“Say Something About Next Year, I’ll Laugh”) has reached its conclusion with the release of its second volume on July 10, 2026. To celebrate the finale, a voice PV featuring voice actors Ryota Iwasaki and Reiji Kawashima has been unveiled.
Serialized in the digital BL magazine Honey Milk since 2024, the story is a collaboration between original creator Yamauchi Akira and manga artist Kingyobachi de Me, with planning by AOI Pro. The plot follows Ryosuke, a hikikomori NEET whose only joy in life is sending postcards to his favorite comedian duo, Mangosteen Habura, under the radio name “Narikin Takojiro.” One day, he hears on the radio that the duo has suddenly disbanded. Devastated, Ryosuke sinks into a near-catatonic state—until Habura himself unexpectedly shows up at his family home.
The voice PV brings the two main characters to life. Iwasaki Ryota—known for roles such as Shirokumazawa Sasara in Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- and Yarasen Inasa in My Hero Academia—voices Habura, the comedian who abruptly announces the breakup of his duo. Kawashima Reiji, recognized for playing Fushi in To Your Eternity and Finn Ames in Mashle: Magic and Muscles, takes on the role of Ryosuke, the reclusive postcard writer.
