A new line of apparel and smartphone cases inspired by Evangelion has been announced, featuring designs of Rei, Asuka, Angels, Unit-01, and the NERV logo. Some items will be available early at the Cospa booth during Wonder Festival 2026 [Summer] on July 26, 2026.
Neon Genesis Evangelion originally aired in 1995, following 14-year-old pilots as they battle mysterious enemies called Angels using giant mecha known as Evangelion units. The series is renowned for its deep psychological themes and has become a global phenomenon. The franchise recently celebrated its 30th anniversary in February 2026 with the event “EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION,” where a completely new series was announced.
T-Shirts with Character Designs
Four T-shirt designs are available, each using a sturdy 5.6 oz fabric that is breathable and moisture-wicking. The shirts feature a smooth feel with flat seams to prevent twisting after washing, and a ribbed collar with tape reinforcement to maintain shape. Double stitching at the neck and cuffs ensures durability.
“Smile, It’s Okay” Rei T-Shirt (Colors: WHITE, ACID BLUE) – Features a gentle smile from Rei with the line “I think you should smile.”
EVA Unit-02 Pilot Asuka T-Shirt (Colors: BLACK, BURGUNDY) – A bold design featuring Asuka.
NERV Vintage Logo T-Shirt (Colors: SUMI, SAND KHAKI) – Classic NERV logo in a vintage style.
“What is Work?” Rei (Provisional Name) T-Shirt (Color: SUMI) – Rei (provisional name) with the question “What is work?”
All T-shirts are priced at 3,300 yen (tax included) and come in sizes S, M, L, XL. General release is scheduled for early October 2026. Early sales will be held at the Cospa booth at Wonder Festival 2026 [Summer] from July 26, 2026, and at Toei Uzumasa Eigamura (NERV Cafe) from late July 2026. Note that size S is not available for early sales.
Dry T-Shirts and Hoodie
Two dry T-shirt designs offer quick-drying, UV-cut (UPF20, approx. 95% UV protection) fabric, ideal for hot weather or exercise.
Angel Dry T-Shirt (Color: BLACK)
Unit-01 Dry T-Shirt (Colors: BLACK, DEEP PURPLE)
Dry T-shirts are priced at 3,520 yen (tax included), sizes S–XL, and release in late September 2026. Early sales begin in early August 2026 at Toei Uzumasa Eigamura.
Angel Hoodie (Color: BLACK) – Made with a soft, absorbent, and stretchy loop-back fabric. Priced at 5,500 yen (tax included), sizes S–XL, release in late September 2026.
Smartphone Cases
Two sizes of NERV-branded diary-style smartphone cases are available, made from PU leather with a magnetic closure and inner card pocket. The case allows the device to rotate for photography without removal.
NERV Diary Smartphone Case L – Fits devices up to approx. 158mm x 85mm x 11mm (camera protrusion up to 5mm). Price: 4,730 yen (tax included).
NERV Diary Smartphone Case LL – Fits devices up to approx. 167mm x 87mm x 11mm (camera protrusion up to 5mm). Price: 4,950 yen (tax included).
Both cases release in early October 2026. They use a special adhesive pad to attach the phone; the adhesive strengthens over a few days. The case is not designed to protect against drops or strong impacts. The magnetic clasp may affect magnetic cards.
