Sanrio fans can look forward to a new wave of adorable capsule toys this summer. The “Sanrio Characters Pool Ring Keychain” series brings beloved characters to life as squishy, vinyl charms that look just like real inflatable pool rings. The collection is set to roll out at capsule toy machines across Japan from late July 2026.
The release follows the results of the 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking, where Pompompurin took the top spot, followed by Cinnamoroll in second place. Pochacco, Kuromi, and Hello Kitty rounded out the top five, proving the enduring popularity of these iconic characters.
Each keychain features a soft, squishy vinyl material that mimics the feel of a real pool ring. A detachable rubber charm adds versatility—fans can use the charm on its own or keep it attached to the keychain. The lineup includes seven different designs:
- Hello Kitty winking
- My Melody dressed as a mermaid
- Kuromi swimming as a mermaid
- Tuxedo Sam in swimwear with sunglasses on his head
- Cinnamoroll floating on a pool ring
- Pochacco striking a pose in cool swimwear
- Pompompurin smiling while riding a pool ring
Every character is depicted enjoying a vacation vibe, making these charms perfect for summer accessories or bag decorations.
The “Sanrio Characters Pool Ring Keychain” capsule toys will be available at capsule vending machine locations nationwide starting in late July 2026. Each play costs 400 yen, and the toys are recommended for ages 15 and up.
