The summer anime Grow Up Show ~Himawari no Circus-dan~ has released a synopsis and preview cuts for its second episode, titled “It’s So, So Dazzling”, which airs on July 11, 2026 (Saturday).
Set in an alternate Japan around the 1950s–60s (Showa 30s), during the high economic growth period, the story follows circus troupes traveling the country to compete for a spot in the world-renowned festival Kilkus Collection. The perpetually broke Himawari Circus, led by ringleader Maria, struggles to keep its shows going. Into this struggling troupe comes the prodigy Mizuka Tsurumaki, bringing both talent and mystery.
Episode 2 Synopsis
Himawari Circus heads to the popular official performance venue in Toyokawa, full of hope for a big audience. But upon arrival, they discover that the venue has been taken over by Shiny Lavender, a troupe under the powerful Crown Group!
If they cannot perform, the perpetually broke circus will go under.
To avert this existential crisis, Ouka Kawasumi suggests an alternative venue. Where will it lead them?
