The official website for the television anime adaptation of Hikawa Kyouko‘s Kanata kara (From Far Away) manga has announced the main cast, staff, teaser visual, and teaser promotional video. The anime is set to premiere on Tokyo MX at 12:00 a.m. on October 5, followed by broadcasts on ABC TV and WOWOW.

Hikawa serialized the fantasy romance manga in LaLa magazine from September 1991 to January 2003. Hakusensha published the 14th and final volume in April 2003. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in 2004, with the final volume released in January 2007. Kanata kara won the 35th Seiun Award in the Comics category in 2004.
A teaser promotional video was also released alongside the announcement.
