Summer 2026 anime Reiwa no Dara-san has released a synopsis and preview images for its third episode, titled “Forbidden Ground’s Rule” (禁足地の掟), which airs on July 16, 2026.
Based on the manga by Tomotsuka Haruomi serialized on Kadokawa’s Comic and Nico Nico Manga, Reiwa no Dara-san is a new-sensation occult comedy set in the Reiwa era. Directed by Suzuki Rihito, the animation is produced by Asahi Production.
The story follows Hinata and Kaoru, born into the Sanjuukiya family that has managed a mountain containing a forbidden “taboo land” for generations. One stormy night, they step into the forbidden area and encounter the giant serpentine curse god Yamatagimadara, whom they immediately befriend and call “Dara-san.” The fearless siblings drag the reluctant god into their daily lives, resulting in a chaotic but heartwarming comedy.
Episode 3: “Forbidden Ground’s Rule”
As usual, Hinata and Kaoru visit Dara-san. Kaoru presents a miko outfit made by Fudeki. Dara-san is bewildered by the unexpected quality of the outfit.
Meanwhile, two groups of visitors step into the forbidden ground.
Episode 3 of Reiwa no Dara-san airs on July 16, 2026 (Thursday) on TOKYO MX and other stations.
