New merchandise featuring freshly drawn illustrations of the “Aikatsu 8” lineup has arrived. A pop-up shop is now open at Tokyo Character Street from July 17 to July 30, 2026, and the same items are also available via the Tokyo Character Street Online Plaza.
The Aikatsu! series began in 2012 with a data carddass game and television anime, following girls who strive to become top idols through their “Aikatsu!” activities. The franchise has expanded through Aikatsu Stars!, Aikatsu Friends!, Aikatsu on Parade!, and Aikatsu Planet!. In 2023, the 10th anniversary film Aikatsu! 10th STORY ~Mirai e no STARWAY~ was released.
From July 3, 2026, a revival screening of Gekijouban Aikatsu Stars! -Anniversary Stars- began at 70 theaters nationwide. After the main feature, a special trailer announced a new film, Aikatsu Stars! ~Hoshi no Progress~, set for theatrical release in early spring 2027.
At the pop-up shop, the new goods feature eight popular characters: Hoshimiya Ichigo, Arisugawa Otome, Toutou Yurika, Otoshiro Seira, Kazesawa Sora, Himesato Maria, Kamizaki Mizuki, and Natsuki Mikuru.
Product Lineup
Trading items come in three varieties: can badges (8 types), acrylic keychains (8 types), and mini shikishi (8 types). Each is sold as a random single pack or as a complete set containing all types. These are perfect for attaching to bags or displaying as collectibles.
The acrylic diorama (1 type) allows you to assemble parts on a base, creating a sense of depth that brings the “Aikatsu 8” stage to life.
Acrylic stands (8 types) measure up to 15 cm in height and width. Each stand highlights the characters’ expressions, poses, and costumes from the newly drawn illustrations.
Additional items include a set of four clear bookmarks (2 types) and an A3 clear poster (1 type). These products let fans fully enjoy the cuteness of the characters.
