Nikkorino Bakery Pop-Up Shop Lets You Pick Bread Plushies with a Tray Like a Real Bakery

The plush capsule toy brand “Nikkorino” has opened its first-ever pop-up shop themed around a bakery, and visitors can pick up bread-shaped plushies with a tray just like in a real bakery. The event, titled “Nikkorino Bakery,” is currently running at gashacoco Ikebukuro in Tokyo.

Nikkorino is a plush capsule toy brand from the capsule toy manufacturer Qualia, known for its trademark smiling faces. The name combines “nikkori” (smile) with the Italian word “lino” (cute). Since 2023, the brand has released food-themed character series, and has since expanded into a wide range of themes including space, toilets, and trash.

This pop-up shop imagines that Nikkorino’s popular character Takosan Wiener (octopus sausage) has baked bread for everyone. The store features a lineup of 21 different bread plushies, ranging from classic croissants and melon bread to hard breads like French bread, as well as special breads modeled after Nikkorino characters themselves. A frappe plush is also available as a companion item.

These plushies are larger than the standard capsule toy size, designed to resemble real bread. Shoppers are encouraged to pick them up and find their favorite.

In addition to the plushies, the shop sells “Nikkorino Bakery Die-Cut Stickers” featuring newly drawn illustrations of popular characters like Takosan Wiener and Cream Soda acting as bakery staff or enjoying shopping. There are six sticker designs plus a logo sticker, all helping to immerse visitors in the bakery world.

As a bonus, customers who spend 3,000 yen or more (tax included) on Nikkorino merchandise at the venue will receive a limited “Nikkorino Plush Can Badge” on a first-come, first-served basis. The badge is made from soft plush fabric, giving it a fluffy feel, and is exclusive to this event.

The “Nikkorino Bakery” pop-up shop runs at gashacoco Ikebukuro (Tokyo) from July 17 to July 26, 2026, open 11:00–22:00. From July 23, it will also open at gashacoco Nagoya Zero Gate in Aichi, with additional locations across Japan to be announced.
