Shogakukan’s shoujo manga magazine Cheese! is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special collaboration café at Cafe Lish, located on the first floor of the Shogakukan building. The café will run from July 24 to September 15, 2026, offering a limited-time menu of seven food, dessert, and drink items inspired by beloved series that have graced the magazine’s pages.
The menu draws from a range of iconic titles, including Pintokona, Kanojo wa Uso o Ai Shisugiteru, Barairo no Yakusoku, Ou no Kemono ~Empitsu no Arcana~, 5-ji kara 9-ji made, and Coffee & Vanilla. Each dish and drink is designed to evoke the world of its respective series through both flavor and presentation.
From Pintokona, the “KABUKI RAMEN Mini Inari Set” features a hearty bowl of ramen inspired by volume 3’s cover, paired with mini inari sushi. For fans of Kanojo wa Uso o Ai Shisugiteru, the “Aki’s CRUDE PLAY Burger” (¥1,200) recreates the memorable burger Aki holds on the cover of volume 1.
The dessert “Coffee & Vanilla” (¥900) combines bittersweet coffee jelly with sweet vanilla ice cream, directly reflecting the title of the series Coffee & Vanilla.
A special “Yogurt Cheesecake” (¥1,100) marks the magazine’s 30th anniversary.
Drinks include the “Barairo no Koucha Cassis Tea Soda” (¥700), a deep red, refreshing tea soda inspired by the title Barairo no Yakusoku.
From Ou no Kemono ~Empitsu no Arcana~, the “Aitsuki no Gekkou Blue Lemon Soda” (¥700) captures the translucent beauty of the character Aitsuki.
Finally, the “5 to 9 Matcha Latte (Unsweetened)” (¥700) from 5-ji kara 9-ji made blends the depth of traditional Japanese matcha with modern New York matcha culture.
Each menu item comes with an original novelty: random business card-sized cards (5 types), postcards, picks, bookmarks, or coasters, making this a must-visit for longtime readers.
