A limited-time collaboration café themed around the hit anime The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) is set to open this summer. Titled “Ice Dessert Cool” (Hyōka no Ryō), the café will run from July 24 to August 9, 2026, at three Sharé Café locations in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka.
The series, which follows the poison-tasting girl Maomao as she solves mysteries in the imperial court, has surpassed 45 million copies in circulation. After the second season of the TV anime ended in July 2025, production was announced for both a third season and a theatrical film. Season 3 is scheduled to air in two split cours starting October 2026, with the film set for release in December of the same year.
For the café, newly drawn illustrations feature Maomao and Jinshi in cool summer attire, with Jinshi sporting a low half-up hairstyle that has fans swooning. The menu focuses on refreshing treats like shaved ice and soda drinks, perfect for the hot season.
Each drink order comes with an acrylic charm of the corresponding character, and each food item comes with a character pick. Additionally, for every item ordered, guests receive one random original coaster from a set of six designs.
Original merchandise featuring the new illustrations will also be sold. The lineup includes trading items such as hologram can badges and foil-stamped clear cards, as well as cute mini-character acrylic stands, diorama acrylic stained glass pieces, and practical tote bags.
Goods will be available both at the café venues and online via the Anique Shop. During the event period, customers who spend 3,300 yen (tax included) on eligible items will receive one random original bromide from a set of four designs. Note that the bromide designs differ between in-store and online purchases.
The café runs from July 24 (Friday) to August 9 (Sunday), 2026. Reservations are required and are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting from July 2 at 18:00. Walk-in entry may be available if there are empty slots. Each customer may order up to one of each item (six items total per person). Purchase limits may apply to goods depending on availability.
