Get Ready! “Toojima Tanzaburoo wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai” Anime Announces New Cast and October 2025 Premiere

The TV anime adaptation of Toojima Tanzaburoo wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai is set to premiere in October 2025 on TOKYO MX and other networks! This exciting news was revealed alongside the release of the latest promotional video, which also announced the voices behind the new characters: Kayano Ai, Suzumura Kenichi, Saito Soma, and Fairouz Ai. Plus, we’ve got our first look at the designs for these fresh faces!

Toojima Tanzaburoo wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai is based on the manga by Shibata Yokusal, serialized in “Gekkan Heroes” since the June 2018 issue and currently running on the manga distribution site “Comiplex”. It’s created with the cooperation of Ishimori Pro and Toei, the original creators of the Kamen Rider series. The story kicks off when Toojima Tanzaburoo, a man seriously aspiring to become a Kamen Rider even at the age of 40, finds his dream wavering just as he gets caught up in a series of “Fake Shocker” robberies causing a stir in society. Shibata Yokusal, known for his passionate works like Ea Masutaa and Hachiwan Diver, pours his soul into depicting adults who love Kamen Rider so much they play a “serious Kamen Rider game.” Get ready for that same fervent energy to burst onto the screen in the anime!

A 60-second special commercial aired on TOKYO MX TV around 11:30 PM on July 5, 2025, showcasing the latest footage from the anime. It was previously announced that Kayano Ai, Suzumura Kenichi, Saito Soma, and Fairouz Ai would appear in Aniplex’s new anime project for 2025. This commercial dramatically revealed that this project is indeed Toojima Tanzaburoo wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai, complete with all four voice actors shouting “Henshin!” (Transform!).

Kayano Ai is cast as Okada Yuriko, a woman aiming to become the Denpa Ningen Tackle. Suzumura Kenichi plays Shimamura Kazuha, a man who embodies Kamen Rider V3. Furthermore, Saito Soma takes on the role of Shimamura Mitsuba, who looks up to Riderman, and Fairouz Ai plays Yukaris, a woman who is secretly a female Shocker Combatant! The latest video features impactful lines shouted by these four characters and intense battles, just like in the original manga.

Furthermore, new character visuals were unveiled alongside the video. These visuals showcase the four characters’ transformations before and after they suit up, highlighting their distinct personalities and expressions, just like in the video. Additionally, visual stills of the four cast members attempting their characters’ signature poses were also released, with Kayano Ai embodying Denpa Ningen Tackle, Suzumura Kenichi as Kamen Rider V3, Saito Soma as Riderman, and Fairouz Ai capturing the look of a female Shocker Combatant.
