An immersive experience event where visitors become the protagonist and their decisions change the ending is now underway in Yokohama. Titled “Immersive Experience Event: Ultraman Story Dive Exhibition,” the event runs from July 27 (Monday) to August 16 (Sunday), 2026, at Landmark Hall in Minato Mirai.
The Ultraman series celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026. Since first appearing on television on July 10, 1966, Ultraman has evolved with the times, delivering courage, hope, and compassion. The ongoing “Ultraman Series 60th Anniversary Project” includes the new anniversary series Ultraman Teo, which began airing and streaming simultaneously worldwide on July 4 on TV Tokyo’s six-station network.
Your Choices Shape the Story
With the concept of “a participatory story experience where the ending changes,” the exhibition turns each attendee into a part of the narrative. By making choices as they move through the venue, visitors can experience four different endings. Rather than being an audience, they become active participants in Ultraman’s world. The event is produced by Immersive Lab (Immersive Lab Co., Ltd.), which handles overall production, scenario, spatial design, and casting.
Space design and direction are overseen by Keiichiro Tao (Tao Keiichiro), who transforms the Ultraman universe from a “display to view” into a “space to experience with the body.”
Direction and casting are handled by Takayoshi Watanabe (Watanabe Takayoshi), a director and actor specializing in immersive theater and experiential events. His credits include performances at Immersive Fort Tokyo, the interactive live drama Jinrou TLPT (as Taylor), the experiential event Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai, and Magical Secret Tour ANOTHER ROUTE (2026, Shibuya). For this exhibition, he oversees the live performances that draw visitors into the story.
