Moomin fans can look forward to spending 2027 with their favorite characters, as a new lineup of Moomin calendars and diaries has been revealed. Alongside classic formats, the collection introduces a memo-equipped desk calendar and fresh pattern designs for diaries.
About Moomin
Created by Finnish author and artist Tove Jansson in 1945, the world of Moomin has expanded through novels, comics, picture books, and numerous anime adaptations. Character goods, theme parks, and shops have followed, making the series beloved by a wide range of fans both in Japan and around the world. The appeal extends beyond the Moomin family, Snufkin, Little My, and Nyoronyoro to include Nordic design goods that highlight artistic value, as well as philosophical and literary depth that resonate with adult audiences.
New Memo Desk Calendar
A new format joins the lineup: the “Memo Desk Calendar.” This desk calendar comes with 12 monthly calendar sheets and 200 memo sheets in a self-standing box design, making it ideal for remote work settings where supplies may be limited. The simple design is meant to look good on any desk.
Calendar Lineup
Other calendar options range from large wall-hanging types like the “Family Calendar” and “Two-fold Calendar Large” to smaller sizes such as the “Ring Calendar Small” and “Two-fold Calendar Small.” The “Ring Calendar Small,” which can be used as a wall-hanging or a larger desk calendar in two ways, also returns this year. The “Sticker Calendar,” which added a new Moomin design last year, is included as well. A total of seven calendar types will be released.

Diary Lineup
For diaries (schedule books), the compact “Slim Diary” is convenient for carrying around or using as a second notebook. It comes in two designs, including a new pattern design featuring cute character motifs. The “Family Diary,” popular for managing work, private schedules, family plans, and even oshi-katsu (fan activity) notes, offers two designs themed around Moomin and his friends, and Little My.

- Family Diary: 1,650 yen each
