Hypnosis Mic 9th Anniversary Halloween Café Opens in Ikebukuro with Themed Food and Goods

The Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- franchise is celebrating its 9th anniversary with a special Halloween-themed café in Ikebukuro. The official “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- 9th ANNIVERSARY CAFE” will run for 50 days at the Commune Plaza venue, offering exclusive food, drinks, and merchandise.

Launched in September 2017, Hypnosis Mic is a music-based character rap project featuring 18 main characters who engage in intense rap battles. The franchise expanded to film with the February 2025 release of Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-, which offered an interactive viewing experience where audience choices affected the story and ending.

Café Details and Menu

The café will operate from September 12 (Saturday) to October 31 (Saturday), 2026, with hours from 10:00 to 21:30. Each day is divided into six 90-minute sessions with a rotation system. The Halloween concept runs throughout the autumn season.

A total of 42 original menu items will be available: 7 food dishes, 7 desserts, 7 snacks, and 21 drinks. Highlights include:

• VAMPIRE “Scarlet Pasta” (1,800 yen) – a mild tomato-based pasta.
• ANGEL “White Sauce Omurice” (1,800 yen) – butter rice topped with soft egg and rich white sauce.
• KNIGHT “Rare Cheese Mousse” (1,500 yen) – a dessert with a sword pick; cutting into the mousse reveals a sweet-tart raspberry sauce inside.
• DEVIL “Chili Sauce Potato” (900 yen) – potato fries with cream cheese and sweet chili sauce.

Drinks are themed after individual characters, with 21 varieties. Examples include:

• BLACK MAGICIAN Hifumi (800 yen)
• PRIEST Jyuto (800 yen)
• WITCH Otsudomo (800 yen)

Limited-edition merchandise will be sold exclusively to café visitors. Items include:
