TV anime adaptation of Hitozukiai ga Nigate na Miboujin no Yuki Onna-san to Noroi no Yubiwa (The Widowed Snow Woman Who Is Bad at Socializing and the Cursed Ring) has been announced for an October 2026 broadcast. Alongside the announcement, a key visual has been released.
The story is set in a modern world where humans and yokai coexist. Satoru Takahashi works as the manager of an apartment building for yokai. He secretly harbors feelings for one of the residents, a snow woman named Yukino Miyuki. One day, he accidentally angers her. In an attempt to make amends, he uses a mysterious ring that supposedly facilitates communication with yokai. However, the ring’s effect makes Miyuki unexpectedly aggressive, and she begins to pursue him. The series follows the relationship between a socially awkward widow snow woman and the human young man who wants to support her, as they are repeatedly brought together by the power of the cursed ring.

Takahashi Satoshi (CV: Shidou Harumichi)
Satoru is a young man who inherited the position of owner and manager of the yokai rental apartment building “Yayagi Heights” after his father’s death. He is drawn to the ethereal and beautiful snow woman Yukino Miyuki. As a live-in manager, he lives in the building despite being human.
Yukino Miyuki (CV: Kitami Rokka)
Miyuki is a snow woman who lost her husband two years ago and now lives alone. She can manipulate cold air to cool injured areas or freeze the ground to immobilize opponents. She is bad at socializing and avoided interactions with anyone other than her husband. She also dislikes hot places.
Karyuuin Kaede (CV: Ayumi Sara)
Kaede is a shrine maiden from the Karyuuin family, known for having particularly strong spiritual power among oni. She is Satoru’s childhood friend. Although she comes from an elite bloodline, she has a slightly absent-minded side, but her power is genuine.
