A special event for Mato Seihei no Slave 2 (Chained Soldier Season 2) announced a third anime season on Sunday, along with an announcement visual and promotional video.
Produced by Seven Arcs, the first season aired for 12 episodes in Winter 2024. The second season, by Passione and Hayabusa Film, aired from January 8 to March 26. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime and simulcast it on HIDIVE.
The anime adapts Takahiro and Youhei Takemura‘s action fantasy manga, which began serializing on the Shounen Jump+ web magazine in January 2019. Shueisha published the 21st volume on June 4.
Yen Press licensed the manga in English in December 2021. The 14th volume went on sale on July 28, with the 15th volume released on October 27.
