Reservations for the Haikyuu!! Osechi 2027 officially opened today, August 4, 2026. This year’s New Year’s food box returns after last year’s popular run, which even required additional production due to high demand.
About Haikyuu!!
Haikyuu!! is a manga by Furudate Haruichi that was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. It follows high school boys dedicating their youth to volleyball. The TV anime began airing in 2014, and the film Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle was released on February 16, 2024, grossing over 20 billion yen worldwide. In 2027, the film Haikyuu!! VS The Little Giant featuring Karasuno High vs. Kamomedai High, and a special anime Haikyuu!! Where the Monsters Go depicting the battle between Fukurodani Academy and Mujinazaka High are scheduled.
Osechi 2027 Details
This year’s osechi is built around the theme of the intense Spring High (春高) tournament. The three-tiered jubako features dishes inspired by characters from schools that appeared in the series, as well as a tier themed toward the upcoming match against Kamomedai High.
First Tier: Karasuno and Kamomedai
The first tier is inspired by Karasuno High and Kamomedai High. It includes squid with pinecone-style grilling (ika matsukasa shirayaki) that evokes Hoshiumi’s hairstyle.
Second Tier: Karasuno and Nekoma
The second tier represents Karasuno High and Nekoma High. It comes with an original roast beef band featuring designs of Hinata and Kozume.
Third Tier: Karasuno and Inarizaki
The third tier is inspired by Karasuno High and Inarizaki High. It includes a nerikiri (sweet bean paste confection) shaped like the Hinagara crow.
Exclusive Extras
The set includes a specially designed jubako featuring gold volleyballs on the sides, capturing the Haikyuu!! spirit in every detail.
Additional bonuses include an original furoshiki (wrapping cloth) designed after the Karasuno High uniform, a decorative plate featuring the lid design of the jubako, celebratory chopsticks with cute chopstick bags adorned with Hinagara and Kagegara crows, and five paper coasters capturing dynamic scenes from the series.
A decopick (food pick) is also included.

The Haikyuu!! Osechi 2027 is priced at 26,950 yen (tax included). Reservations are open from August 4, 2026, until November 30, 2026. However, due to limited quantity, orders will close once the maximum number is reached, so early reservation is recommended.
