From the TV anime Kamitsubaki Shi Kensetsuchuu, the synopsis and advance scene cuts for Episode 1, "Witchling – Part 2," which begins airing on Thursday, July 10, 2025, have been released.
Kamitsubaki Shi Kensetsuchuu is an original IP project that KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO has been developing since 2019. Set in the virtual city of Kamitsubaki Shi, this story is one of several interconnected projects linked to the worldviews of artists affiliated with KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO. It’s a user-participatory project that has gathered over 20,000 participants, utilizing platforms like Discord and X (formerly Twitter) to primarily unfold through ARG and TRPG formats.
The TV anime, set to air from July 2025, tells the story of five girls with magical singing voices who confront monsters called "Tesseract", born from human malice and desire in a world where human civilization has suffered catastrophic damage.
Episode 1: "Witchling – Part 2"
Having become a Witch’s Daughter, Moriai Kaho spends her days fighting alongside her companions. One day, Yogawa Sekai, another "Witch’s Daughter," senses a crisis approaching Kamitsubaki Shi through her future-sight ability. Immediately following this premonition, a large swarm of Tesseract monsters appears in Sanban Gai.
TV anime Kamitsubaki Shi Kensetsuchuu Episode 1, "Witchling – Part 2," will begin its nationwide simultaneous broadcast on TBS network’s 28 stations starting Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 23:56 JST.
