Re:Zero 4th Season 'Dakkan-hen' PV Reveals New Enemy, ABEMA to Stream All Episodes with Cast Commentary

The TV anime Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 4th season’s Dakkan-hen (奪還編) will begin airing on 21 stations nationwide from August 12, 2026. A new promotional video has been released, and it has also been announced that ABEMA will host a “Cast Commentary All Episodes Marathon” starting August 8.

About the Series

Re:Zero is a fantasy based on the light novel by Nagatsuki Tappei, which began serialization on the novel submission site “Shousetsuka ni Narou” in April 2012 and has been published under MF Bunko J since January 2014. The story follows Natsuki Subaru, a boy suddenly summoned to another world, who uses the power of “Return by Death” to rewind time upon dying and face harsh destinies. The worldwide cumulative series sales, including digital editions, have exceeded 16 million copies.

The 4th season, directed by Shinohara Masahiro and animated by WHITE FOX, previously aired the Soushitsu-hen (喪失編) arc (11 episodes) from April to June 2026.

PV Highlights

The newly released PV for Dakkan-hen showcases the struggles of Subaru and his companions depicted in Soushitsu-hen, along with new cuts and the presence of a new enemy. Anticipation for the broadcast start is building.

Making-of Video: Takahashi Rie (Emilia) Version

As a first-time initiative for the 4th season, a making-of video capturing the recording studio atmosphere has been released. The third installment features Emilia’s voice actress Takahashi Rie, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the 4th season through a simulated recording session and interview.

ABEMA Marathon with Cast Commentary

To coincide with the Dakkan-hen broadcast, ABEMA will air a “Cast Commentary All Episodes Marathon.” Viewers can enjoy episodes with visual commentary from a stellar cast, and all 77 episodes from the 1st season through the 4th season Soushitsu-hen, plus two OVAs, will be streamed for free. The marathon runs from August 8 to August 11, starting at 11:00 each day, with one season per day including commentary episodes. This is a perfect opportunity to catch up before Dakkan-hen begins.
