A new collaboration osechi set inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion is now available for pre-order. The “Evangelion Osechi 2027” comes in an original-design jubako (stacked box) and includes exclusive bonuses, all in a limited quantity.
Series Background
Neon Genesis Evangelion first aired in 1995, following 14-year-old pilots as they battle mysterious enemies called Angels using the humanoid weapons Evangelion. The series became a global phenomenon for its deep psychological themes and complex narrative. After the original TV series and old movies, the Rebuild series concluded with Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time. In February 2026, a 30th-anniversary event announced a completely new series, with further details awaited.
Product Details
The osechi set features a two-tiered jubako with an original design that includes the NERV emblem and the unit numbers of Unit-01 and Unit-02. Accompanying the box are a water-repellent furoshiki cloth stylishly printed with an A.T. Field and Japanese pattern, paper coasters depicting all five pilots, and three pairs of celebratory chopsticks with gold Unit-01 chopstick bags.
The two tiers contain a balanced mix of Japanese and Western dishes, totaling 37 items. The menu includes dishes inspired by Shinji’s homemade bento, as well as special creative offerings. Longinus spear-shaped picks and character deco picks are included, letting fans enjoy the food while feeling the world of the series.
Additionally, some dishes are presented in container sleeves designed to resemble the plugsuits of Shinji and Kaworu, adding another layer of fan service.
Reservation Information
Reservations for the “Evangelion Osechi 2027” are open from August 4 (Tuesday) to November 30 (Monday), 2026. As it is a limited-edition item, orders will close once the maximum number is reached. Delivery is scheduled for December 30, 2026.
