Rilakkuma’s popular themes from the past are making a comeback in a new merchandise series titled “Ano Koro no Rilakkuma.” The line is scheduled to hit stores and online shops across Japan around September 2026.

Rilakkuma is a San-X character that debuted in 2003. Along with Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori, Rilakkuma has been living with office worker Kaoru and taking care of her home.
The new series revives artwork from memorable themes spanning 2003 to 2012, including the very first “Rilakkuma Toujou” (Rilakkuma’s Debut) theme, as well as “Oyasumi” (Good Night), “Honey & Smile,” “Otosu de Goron” (Rolling Outside), and “Ichigo” (Strawberry).

The “Air-in Mascot Seal” is a playful item that lets you shake the mascot inside. It comes in eight different designs.
The “Secret Memo” comes in eight types, offering the excitement of not knowing which design you’ll get until you open it.
There’s also a “hanging plush” inspired by four themes: “Otosu de Goron,” “Ichigo,” “Honey & Smile,” and “Usagi to Asobo” (Play with Bunny). These feature a trendy loop with a logo.
2026 also marks the 10th anniversary of Chairoikoguma. This is a great opportunity to check out these nostalgic Rilakkuma items that can only be found here.
The “Ano Koro no Rilakkuma” series will be available at retailers and online shops nationwide starting around September 2026. Note that availability may vary by store, and items are limited in quantity.
