About the Manga
Serialized on Magazine Pocket (Magapoke), Mii-chan to Yamada-san is set in 2012 in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho district. Yamada-san, a cabaret club worker, meets Mii-chan, a new girl who is earnest and full of energy but struggles with even basic kanji and reading the room. Despite being ridiculed by those around her, Mii-chan works diligently, and Yamada-san gradually finds herself drawn to her. The story follows the pair over the course of twelve months.
