Ado to Share Her Life Story in NHK Special With Hatsune Miku Narration

Ado will share her life story in a special NHK program titled ‘Ado: What I Want to Tell You at 23’ (Ado~23歳の私から伝えたいこと~), airing on August 30, 2026, at 8:05 PM on NHK AM. The program will feature narration by virtual singer Hatsune Miku.

Following the release of her autobiographical novel ‘Vivarium: Ado and Me’ in February 2026, Ado will discuss her journey from childhood to the present, including moments of self-denial and inferiority, her fascination with Vocaloid and utaite culture, and the time she spent in a closet.

Ado commented, “In the radio program, I talked about my life, why I call myself a utaite, and many other episodes from my life. I would be happy if my story could be something that touches someone’s heart.”

Hatsune Miku will serve as the program’s narrator, appearing as a ‘voice from above’ to guide the special. As an essential presence in Ado’s story, fans will be curious to see how Miku adds to the broadcast.

At the end of summer, Ado looks back on her life and delivers a message to children, encouraging them to believe in the future and find courage.

The program features Ado, Hatsune Miku, and NHK announcer Katayama Chieko. After the broadcast, the program will be available for one week on NHK’s ‘Rajiru★Rajiru’ service.

Broadcast schedule: August 30 (Sunday) at 8:05 PM on NHK AM (8:05–8:55 PM). Listen-back available for one week after broadcast on NHK ‘Rajiru★Rajiru’.
