Skip to Loafer 2nd Season Announces New Staff, Second Teaser, April 2027 Premiere

The official website for the Skip to Loafer 2nd Season television anime has revealed additional staff members and a second teaser promotional video. Produced by P.A.Works, the second season adapting Misaki Takamatsu’s coming-of-age manga is set to premiere in April 2027.

Staff

The series is directed by Kotomi Deai, who also handles series composition alongside Youko Yonaiyama. Manami Umeshita is in charge of character design and serves as chief animation director together with Reina Igawa and Yuusuke Inoue. Mio Fujishima returns as sub-character designer.

New additions to the team include main animators Sara Sakoe, Hiroyuki Honda, and Chieko Sato. The special effects duo of Masahiro Murakami and Sumie Murakami also join the production. Sou Senoo takes on the role of art director, while Akane Ueda steps up as director of photography. Michiru joins as music composer alongside Takatsugu Wakabayashi.

The first season of Skip to Loafer aired in Spring 2023 with 12 episodes, streaming on Crunchyroll with subtitles and dubs in multiple languages.

Misaki Takamatsu began serializing the manga in Monthly Afternoon in August 2018. Kodansha published the 13th volume on April 23, and the series has a cumulative 4.2 million copies in circulation. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English and released the 12th volume on July 7, with the 13th volume scheduled for January 5, 2027.
