Fans of CLAMP’s beloved fantasy saga Mahou Kishi Rayearth have a shiny new treat to collect. The official Premium Bandai channel Candy Online Shop has begun accepting preorders for the TV Anime “Mahou Kishi Rayearth” Twin Wafers, a snack item that pairs chocolate wafers with a metallic collector’s card. Each box contains 20 individually wrapped packages and is priced at 3,960 yen (tax included). Orders placed now are scheduled to ship in December 2026.
The upcoming anime is the latest adaptation of CLAMP’s original manga, which ran in Nakayoshi and has remained hugely popular both in Japan and abroad. The new TV series, announced in 2024—30 years after the original 1994 broadcast—premieres on October 7. The story begins when three middle school girls—Shidou Hikaru, Ryuuzaki Umi, and Hououji Fuu—are suddenly summoned to the mystical world of Cephiro while on a school trip to Tokyo Tower. There, they learn that Princess Emeraude, who protects the world’s peace through prayer, has been taken captive, and Cephiro is in grave danger. The three girls must become the legendary Magic Knights to save both the princess and the world.
This twin wafer set includes a total of 32 different metallic plastic cards, each with a glossy finish. The lineup features character cards and story cards, plus special rare cards using newly drawn original illustrations. Every card sparkles with a metallic coating, making them perfect for fans who love to collect. Note that each box contains only a selection of the 32 designs, so buying multiple boxes may be necessary to complete the full set.
