I’m Doraemon Celebrates Doraemon’s Birthday with Gold-Themed Collection

The beloved Doraemon franchise is getting a special birthday celebration, courtesy of Sanrio’s adult-oriented “I’m Doraemon” series. A brand-new collection of stationery and lifestyle goods has been announced, designed with an elegant gold base and cute crown motifs to mark September 3, Doraemon’s official birthday. Items will be available at select pop-up stores and the official online shop.

Created by Fujiko F. Fujio, Doraemon follows the adventures of the cat-shaped robot from the future as he helps his friend Nobita grow into a dependable adult. The TV anime continues to air every Saturday at 5:00 PM on 24 TV Asahi affiliate stations.

Fans also have a new film to look forward to: Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Jōki Jikan-sha, slated for release in spring 2027. Directed by Moriyama Ryūshō, who has been involved with the TV series since 2020, and written by Ueda Makoto, the leader of theater troupe Europe Kikaku, the film promises another time-traveling adventure.
