Umeda Shuuichirou, a rising voice actor known for his recent breakout roles, will release his first photo book, Doko e Ikou ka, on October 11, 2026—his 31st birthday. The collection was shot in his hometown of Chiba and Akihabara, where he spent much of his youth, capturing a natural side of the performer away from the microphone.
Umeda has been gaining attention as a young talent in the industry, winning the Newcomer Voice Actor Award at the 17th Seiyuu Awards. He landed his first lead role in 2022 as Seviru in Mahoutsukai Reimeiki, and in 2025 he voiced Haimawari Kouichi, the protagonist of Vigilante – Boku no Hero Academia ILLEGALS-, as well as Hikaru in Hikari ga Shinda Natsu. He is currently starring as Rei in Kurabetesu II – Majuu no Ou to Itsuwari no Yuusha Denshou and as Eftal in Rakutai Kenja no Gakuin Musou ~Nido no Tensei, S Rank Cheat Majutsushi Boukenroku~.
The photo book’s location shooting began last year on Umeda’s 30th birthday. In Chiba, he visited a familiar park, took walks with his family dog, and stopped by the ramen shop that sparked his love for the dish—each spot filled with personal memories. The shoot started under rainy skies, but the key scenes in the Chiba section turned out to be blessed with clear weather. The result offers an intimate look at Umeda beyond his acting roles.
Reflecting on the project, Umeda commented, “I had my doubts about whether I could really do a photo book, but I thought it would be a way to give back to the fans who have always supported me and to those who have recently discovered me, so I decided to take on the challenge!” He added, “They captured a lot of the real Umeda Shuuichirou in places that have meaning to me. I hope everyone can feel like we’re going on a little trip together.”
To commemorate the release, a special event will be held in Tokyo on October 17, 2026. Further details are expected to be announced at a later date.
