Hobonichi Techo 2027 is set to launch on September 1, 2026, with a lineup of more than 280 new items across planners and stationery. The 26th year of the beloved planner series brings a fresh wave of collaborations and original products.
Collaborations with Beloved Characters
Since its debut in 2001, Hobonichi Techo has become a staple for planners. The 2027 edition introduces new collaborations with Hello Kitty, Puppet Sunsun, and the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum, London), while the popular Moomin collaboration returns for a second year. The Moomin series includes a special weeks planner featuring Moomin’s words and illustrations. The One Piece magazine collaboration also continues for a fifth year.
Art-Inspired Planners
The 2027 lineup also includes art-inspired planners. In addition to the V&A, the classic picture book ‘Frederick’ by Leo Lionni and a first-time collaboration with picture book author Miyakoshi Akiko are featured.
Kakimori Pens and Inks
New pens and inks from the Kakimori collaboration are also on the way. The lineup includes fountain pens and rollerball pens in Hobonichi Techo original colors, as well as a mini ink set based on Kakimori inks, with pigment inks and colors matched to the 12 Hobonichi Techo shades.
New Stationery: collect & collage
A new stationery series called ‘collect & collage’ makes its debut. With the theme of gathering daily memories and keeping them beautifully, the first wave includes a scrapbook note, stickers, and a rotating stamp. These items are designed to subtly highlight and preserve ‘memory paper’ from travels, outings, hobbies, gifts, and everyday moments.
Flagship Store and App Updates
In addition, the first flagship store for Hobonichi Techo will open at JR Tokyo Station, with limited collaboration products featuring Suica’s Penguin. The Hobonichi Techo app is also getting new features, including a function to enjoy ‘Techo Kaigi’ (planner meetings) within the app.
With collaborations ranging from Hello Kitty, Puppet Sunsun, and Moomin to new stationery series, Hobonichi Techo 2027 offers a wide variety of options. The full lineup goes on sale on September 1, 2026.
