Sanrio characters are getting their own line of packaged breads, each featuring original sticker designs. The first items, including Pompompurin’s pumpkin pudding-style cream bread, go on sale from September 1.
The release follows the 2026 Sanrio Character Grand Prix, which saw a record-breaking 70,647,379 votes—112% of last year’s total. Pompompurin claimed the top spot for the second consecutive year and fifth time overall, gathering over 7 million votes in its 30th anniversary year. Cinnamoroll came in second, followed by Pochacco, Kuromi, and Hello Kitty in third, fourth, and fifth places respectively.
September Releases
From September 1, two items will be available: Pompompurin’s pumpkin pudding-style cream bread, which wraps a pumpkin pudding-flavored cream in white bread dough, and Cinnamoroll’s moist caramel steamed cake, a dense steamed cake with a rich caramel flavor.
October Release
On October 1, Hello Kitty and Kuromi’s Apple & Milk Danish will arrive, featuring apple filling and milk cream rolled into danish pastry.
November Release
On November 1, Pompompurin and Pochacco’s Melon Pan will be released, topped with a butter-flavored biscuit dough.
Sticker Details
Each bread includes one randomly selected sticker from a total of 20 designs, including original artwork featuring the characters on the packaging. These stickers are exclusive to this product line.
Fans can look forward to enjoying both the bread and the collectible stickers.
