The upcoming autumn 2026 anime Tanuki to Kitsune has revealed its main cast, with Hisano Misaki voicing Tanuki and Higashiyama Nao voicing Kitsune. The announcement also brought word of additional cast members, including Morikawa Tomoyuki, Naganawa Maria, and Nagatsuka Takuma, along with a new promotional video.
Based on the full-color manga by Atamoto, Tanuki to Kitsune follows the gentle daily lives of a laid-back tanuki and a fox who struggles to be honest with its feelings, living together in the mountains.
The TV anime is set to premiere on October 4, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. on the “Animori!” programming block across six TV Tokyo network stations. The cast and staff have also shared their enthusiasm for the project.
