Craft Candy Theater “PAPABUBBLE” is opening a new concept shop, “PAPABUBBLE CHARACTERS,” at Nagoya PARCO on September 4, 2026. The limited-time store will offer candies collaborating with characters such as Panda Kopanda and Chiikawa.
What is PAPABUBBLE CHARACTERS?
PAPABUBBLE CHARACTERS is a new store model that expands the entertainment experience of candies you can see, touch, and taste. It brings together collaboration products with various popular characters and IPs, delivering their charm in a fresh way through PAPABUBBLE’s signature “IP × Craft” approach.
The first iteration is a pop-up store at Nagoya PARCO. Among the character collaboration items are candies that express the adorable characters from “Panda Kopanda.”
Panda Kopanda Candies
“Panda Kopanda” is a classic 1972 animation by Takahata Isao and Miyazaki Hayao. The heartwarming story of a girl named Mimiko and the panda father-and-child pair Papanda and Pan-chan has been loved for over half a century.
That gentle, warm world is now captured in candy form by PAPABUBBLE’s artisans. The kind-hearted giant Papanda and the energetic Pan-chan are squeezed into cross-sections about 1 cm across.
Other popular character collaborations are also featured. Alongside “Chiikawa,” which has gained huge attention with its first film adaptation, the lineup includes “Disney/Pixar” and “Pan Dorobou,” as well as reprints of previously well-received products and collaborations currently sold at other stores. In total, about ten character product lines are available.
Opening Campaign
From September 4 to September 8, an opening campaign will be held. During this period, customers who spend 2,000 yen (tax included) or more will receive a limited lollipop available only at the Nagoya PARCO store. The rainbow-colored lollipop features the word “NAGOYA” and is sure to be a memorable keepsake.
