The original BL vertical comic from the e-book rental service Renta!, Seishun no Yarinaoshi wa Isekai de ~Shinigami wa Ore no Koto ga Suki Sugiru~, is set to receive a TV broadcast as an “AniComi” motion comic starting in January 2027. Along with the announcement, a key visual and teaser PV have been released, and the main cast members have been revealed.
The story follows Fuwa Makoto, a man carrying trauma from his youth, who is handed a high school application form by a suspicious hermit-like old man in a park. Lured by the all-inclusive boarding and free tuition, he attends the entrance ceremony—only to find that the school is filled with non-human beings. Among them, Thanatos, known as the “Death Guardian,” stares at him with a sharp gaze. But instead of threatening his life, Thanatos utters, “Haah, Fuwa-kun is so precious today… let me worship…” The series depicts Fuwa’s attempt to redo his youth in this school of supernatural classmates, and the love that develops with the death god.
What is AniComi?
AniComi is Papyless’s original motion comic format that adds motion and audio to manga. For this adaptation, in addition to the conventional motion comic production method, some cuts incorporate the latest generative AI technology, aiming for even more visually compelling expressions.

The main cast includes Takatsuka Tomohito as Fuwa Makoto and Kijima Ryuichi as Thanatos. Additional cast members include Egoshi Akinori as Metatron, Horikane Sohei as Belphegor, Matsuoka Yohei as Toutetsu, and Kawanishi Kengo as Uriel.
