
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Mikoshiba Nana’s Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu (The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World) light novel has unveiled the supporting cast and the main promotional video for its second season. The new season is scheduled to premiere on TBS on October 9 at 1:28 a.m., followed by BS11 at 11:00 p.m. the same day.

Singer-songwriter Ueki Mizuki performs the opening theme “Diamond Dust,” while Uchida Maaya performs the ending theme “COMPRESSION :[“. The opening theme is featured in the main promotional video.
Staff
Takata Masahiro directs the second season at Zero-G, also handling series composition and sound direction. Scripts are penned by Takata, Shinozuka Tomoko, and Oonishi Takahito. Kawamoto Mariko designs the characters, and Saiki Tatsuhiko and Tabuchi Natsumi compose the music.
Production
Produced by Cloud Hearts, the first season aired as a 12-episode series in Winter 2023. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles and dubs in multiple languages.
Source Material
Mikoshiba began writing the light novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2019. Kodansha began publishing the novel under its Ranobe Bunko imprint in July 2020, with illustrations by Korie Riko. The ninth volume shipped on June 2. Sasaki Norihito began a manga adaptation in Magazine Pocket in June 2020. Kodansha shipped the 16th volume in April 2024. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in October 2021. The 13th volume went on sale on June 2.
