The anime Haikyu!! is teaming up with Naruto Taiyaki Honpo for a special collaboration themed around “after-school taiyaki time.” From September 18, 2026, exclusive goods will be available at 25 stores nationwide and through the official website.
Haikyu!! is the manga by Furudate Haruichi that ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. It follows high school boys who pour their youth into volleyball. The TV anime began in 2014, and in 2024, the film Gekijouban Haikyu!! Gomi Suteba no Kessen was released, surpassing 20 billion yen at the worldwide box office. For 2027, a new film pitting Karasuno High against Ougai High, Gekijouban Haikyu!! VS Chiisana Kyojin, and a special anime depicting the Fukurodani Academy versus Nekoma Academy match, Haikyu!! Bakemonotachi no Iku Tokoro, have been announced.
Two Character Lineups for the Collab
For this collaboration, all 16 characters are illustrated in new, original designs that imagine them stopping by a taiyaki shop after club practice, still in uniform. The first half, running from September 18 to October 1, features Hinata Shouyou, Kageyama Tobio, Oikawa Tooru, Iwaizumi Hajime, Aone Takanobu, Futakuchi Kenji, Ushijima Wakatoshi, and Tendou Satori. The second half, from October 2 to October 17, includes Kozume Kenma, Kuroo Tetsurou, Bokuto Koutarou, Akaashi Keiji, Miya Atsumu, Miya Osamu, Hoshiumi Kourai, and Hirugami Sachirou.
Goods Lineup
The available items include trading can badges, trading acrylic stands, trading clear cards, and plushies, all in A/B variations. In addition, limited online-exclusive made-to-order products such as a sticker set (two stickers per set) and a mug will be sold.
When you buy a eligible taiyaki, it will be served in a collab-designed “original single-fish bag.” From September 18 to 27, the filling is Tokachi red bean; from September 28 to October 7, it’s premium custard; and from October 8 to 17, the Naruto Kintoki sweet potato version. An original decorative box for 5-6 fish is also available.
Store Decorations and Perks
Special decorations, including an original curtain and mini-character panels, will be set up at select stores: Ikebukuro West Exit in Tokyo, Osaka Nippombashi, and Sendai Ichibancho. At collaborating physical stores, for every 2,000 yen (tax included) spent on taiyaki and collab goods combined, customers receive a random coaster (A or B). On the official website, for every 2,000 yen (tax included) spent on goods, a random postcard bonus is given.
After the collaboration period, a post-event sale is planned from October 18 to November 30 on the official site.
