
The official website for the Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon no Taki-hen anime has unveiled new details ahead of its October premiere. The second season, which adapts Yura Urushibara’s action fantasy manga, will air in two split cours, with the first part starting on October 2 at 11:30 p.m. on Nippon Television’s Friday Anime Night block, followed by BS Nippon Television on October 5. The second cours is scheduled for April 2027.
Before the season begins, special recap episodes covering the Kyoto Arc and Nerima Arc will air on October 1 and 2 at 12:35 a.m. on Nippon Television, with web streaming at 2:05 a.m.

Theme Songs
Japanese idol Hiromitsu Kitayama will perform the opening theme “BACKLASH,” while the music group TRACK15 handles the ending theme “Te to Te.” Both songs are featured in the newly released promotional video.
Staff
Returning director Ato Nonaka is at the helm at Studio Hibari, with Yukie Sugawara on series composition and scripts. Ryouko Amisaki returns for character design, and Kohta Yamamoto is composing the music.
Background
The first season of the anime aired from Summer to Fall 2025 with 24 episodes, simulcast on Crunchyroll and Netflix. The manga by Yura Urushibara has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Champion since June 2020, and Akita Shoten released its 30th volume on July 8. Yen Press has licensed the series in English, with the fifth volume released on May 26 and the sixth expected on November 24.
