Next Manga Award 2026 Winners Announced

Kadokawa announced the winners of its annual Next Manga Award on Wednesday, with the ceremony streaming live on Niconico. This year’s competition saw 7,952 submitted titles, from which a special committee shortlisted 100 nominees—40 print manga and 60 web manga. Fans cast 382,581 votes to decide the final rankings.

About the Award

The Next Manga Award (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishou) was established in 2014 by Kadokawa’s Da Vinci magazine and Niconico. Originally, the two categories were named “Manga We Want to See Become a Hit” and “Web Manga We Want to See Published as a Book.” Eligible titles must be serialized in a magazine and either have started serialization the previous year or have no more than five volumes published. Each year, the top three titles in each category enter the Hall of Fame and are no longer eligible for future awards.
