The classic shoujo manga Hime-chan no Ribbon is being reimagined as a cosmetics series. The lineup is rolling out at Loft stores from mid-September 2026, with a general release scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2026.

Hime-chan no Ribbon is a fantasy manga by Mizusawa Megumi that ran in Shueisha’s Ribon from 1990 to 1994. It follows Nonohara Himeko, nicknamed Hime-chan, who gains a magical ribbon that lets her transform into other people. The TV anime adaptation aired from 1992 to 1993.
The new cosmetics series comes from Ribon, which celebrated its 70th anniversary last year, and centers on Mizusawa Megumi-sensei’s legendary work.

Five Items in the Lineup
The collection includes five products: a charm-attached lip cream, an acrylic charm-attached whipped hand cream, a bangs clip, an acrylic stand-attached lip gloss, and a bag charm multi balm. The lip cream, hand cream, and bangs clip use blind packaging, so buyers will not know which design they get until opening.
All of the cosmetics are scented. The series aims to combine cute visuals with practicality, offering items that evoke nostalgia and excitement.
