The official website for the television anime adaptation of Takahata Kyuu and Kaba Yuuji‘s Kakunaru Ue wa manga has revealed additional staff, a character visual, and the first promotional video. The announcement was made on Thursday, and the anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2027.

Main Staff
Ishikawa Shunsuke (Blue Lock: Episode Nagi) is directing the anime at ROLL2. Akao Deko (Witch Watch) is handling series composition and script, while Nakagawa Hiromi (Shiro Seijo to Kuro Bokushi) is designing the characters.
Manga Release Information
Takahata and Kaba began serializing the romantic comedy manga in Young Animal in February 2023. Hakusensha published the seventh volume on April 28, and the eighth volume went on sale on September 29.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga for English release in September 2024 and published the fifth volume on July 28. The sixth volume is planned for a December 22 release.
