The TV anime Super no Ura de Yani Suu Futari aired its 12th episode and finale, “Super no Ura de Tsuzuku Futari,” on Thursday, September 24, 2026. The episode aired 30 minutes later than usual, but many viewers waited for it, commenting that they were already feeling the loss before it began and that they would definitely watch live. Super no Ura de Yani Suu Futari is a manga by Jinushi that began serialization on X on March 9, 2022. The story follows 45-year-old worn-down office worker Sasaki and 24-year-old supermarket employee Yamada/Tayama, who connect through cigarettes at the supermarket’s back entrance. The TV anime began airing on July 9, 2026. It is directed by Suzuki Rihito and Mori Aoi, with animation production by Asahi Production. Finale Opens With an Uneasy Sasaki and a Last Opening Sequence

The finale begins with Suzuki complaining immediately after the work year starts. But the manager seems unsatisfied, leaving disappointed with “That was different from what I expected,” which made social media laugh. Suzuki’s Hokkaido Offer, Nakajima’s Invitation, and Yamada’s Anger

In contrast to the listless Sasaki, Suzuki is cornered by the department head and cries out, “Kuso ppage!!” He is being sent to Hokkaido, where Nakajima is, and casually asks Sasaki to take his place. But Sasaki turns down both Suzuki’s proposal and Nakajima’s invitation.

Nakajima is revealed to be a former boss who doted on Sasaki and even gave him a wristwatch. Before retiring, Nakajima reached out to his junior, but Sasaki refuses to meet, saying he caused more trouble than he ever owed. When Yamada sees this spineless Sasaki, she becomes furious. Suzuki comes to Sasaki, who is depressed after remembering Tayama’s words.
