Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru Season 3 Begins September 27: Fujiwara Natsumi and Ban Taito Talk Recording

TV anime Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru Season 3 is set to begin broadcasting on September 27, 2026, in the late-night 0:00 slot on the CBC/TBS nationwide 28-station network’s ‘Agaru Anime’ block.

The story follows Ars Louvent, a protagonist with an Appraisal skill that allows him to see people’s abilities, as he develops his territory in another world. In Season 3, Ars has become the head of Kanare district, welcomes new allies, and reorganizes the new Louvent family. Just as he does, a massive army descends on Kanare.

With the new season approaching, Fujiwara Natsumi (Ars) and Ban Taito (Rietz Muses) sat down for an interview. They looked back on Seasons 1 and 2, discussed how Ars and Rietz have changed, and shared Season 3 highlights, which they describe as more grand and tense than ever.

Season 3 recording felt like coming home

Asked how they felt when Season 3 recording began, Ban said the stronger feeling was ‘we’re back here.’ Everyone was relaxed and naturally started talking. Fujiwara agreed that rather than ‘long time no see,’ it felt more like ‘it is finally happening.’ Ban added that there was a strong sense that it was only natural for everyone to be together. Fujiwara said she was happy to hear Ban say that, and Ban replied that he is grateful to be part of the work.

When asked about the appeal of the series, Ban said that while battles and political exchanges are depicted, the foundation is a story of human connections. People gather around Ars’s character, and the relationships built there are the appeal. Fujiwara added that feeling the warmth of those connections also makes the weight of battles and human lives felt. Opponents also have lives and drama, and showing each character’s background and personality, including on the allied side, adds depth.

Promotional ideas added to the excitement

On the series’ promotional efforts, Ban said he never expected Hollywood Zakoshishou to promote it, and recording while watching Zakoshishou move in front of him may happen only with this work. Fujiwara called it a precious experience and said Zakoshishou has helped with various projects, almost like an image character for Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru. Ban laughed at the idea of an image character and said they are grateful to have him help build excitement. Fujiwara added that she is looking forward to whatever comes next.

How Ars and Rietz have grown

Fujiwara said Ars keeps growing. Through meeting allies and experiences such as his first battle in Season 2, he has developed steadily. In Season 3 he becomes a district chief and carries even more responsibility, but his words and the way he treats everyone show newfound strength. Asked about Ars not having high physical ability, Fujiwara said his physical ability is ordinary, and it may be close to a complex for him. However, by using his Appraisal skill to add excellent allies and growing with them, he has gained some confidence mentally.

Ban said Rietz has also grown significantly, but by Season 2 he was already fairly complete as someone who supports Ars. In Season 3, however, Rietz shows feelings toward Ars that were not seen before. Ban personally felt that Rietz carried emotions of that weight. The movements of Rietz’s feelings toward people around Ars also become visible, and performing those scenes was very enjoyable.

Season 3 scale and a smooth recording room

On their impressions of each other’s characters, Ban said Ars grows so much that every episode feels different. He praised Ars’s humanity, saying it is not only the Appraisal skill but his character that naturally draws excellent and good people. In Season 3, Ars seems more resolved and has become a leader who pulls everyone from the front rather than staying behind. Fujiwara said Rietz is strong and reliably dependable. He works hard for Ars and continues improving his own abilities without stopping. In dangerous moments he protects Ars with his body, and his unwavering loyalty is reassuring.

Regarding each other’s acting, Ban said Fujiwara’s performance as Ars naturally draws out emotions. It is not a matter of ‘this line means I say it this way’; instead, words come naturally from her words. He called her an actor who creates an atmosphere that pulls out emotions. Fujiwara said she is happy to hear that, and praised Ban for accepting everything she tries. She sometimes tries a different pattern from the test, and Ban responds with a different pattern as well. She feels he is an actor who faces each person in the moment. Fujiwara added that he seems to have not only a wide range of acting but also a rich range of emotions. Ban thanked her sincerely.

The Season 3 scripts and fast-paced recording

Asked about their first reaction to the Season 3 scripts, Fujiwara said Seasons 1 and 2 felt like Ars versus someone, but Season 3 expands the scale of the bonds he nurtures rather than focusing on Ars alone. More allies join and the story grows grander, so she read the scripts with excitement. Ban said previous seasons mainly showed Ars gathering allies and, as a result, expanding his territory. From Season 3, depictions of full-scale battle increase. The story conveys the weight of exchanging lives and the thoughts and burdens held by both enemy and ally camps, creating a sense of tension.

On recording, Fujiwara noted that Seasons 1 and 2 took a fair amount of time, but Season 3 sessions were very fast. Ban agreed, saying the atmosphere was already complete from the start. Everyone seemed to feel that if it is this character, that is what they would do. He had the impression that everyone concentrated and brought high energy in a short time. Fujiwara added that many lines and scenes were approved on the first take, and sound director Kameyama Toshiki properly accepted what came out in the recording. Ban guessed it worked well because overlapping dialogue scenes did not become muddled; everyone understood each other’s intensity and temperature.

New cast members join the established team

With new characters such as Musha Trick and Zat Brozdo, new cast members also joined. Fujiwara said it felt fresh. Ban said entering the established atmosphere could have been difficult, but Fujiwara, as the leader, created the mood. The two actors playing the new characters communicated a lot and blended into the set quickly. Fujiwara added that Ban is the one who creates chances for everyone to have fun conversations on set. Ban protested, and Fujiwara said she is grateful. Ban joked that she should respect him more. Fujiwara replied with a laugh, and Ban said that because of her wonderful character, laughter never stops.

Episode 25, the first episode of Season 3

Asked which characters they want viewers to watch, Ban named the new allies Zat and Musha. He said they have deep humanity and carry many things beneath the surface. Fujiwara chose Thomas-san. They once fought each other, but this time he appears in a different position, and there is a development that exists because they fought together in the past. She personally found it stirring and hopes viewers will pay attention to Thomas-san.

People with remarkable talent

Asked about people they consider truly talented, Ban named Fujiwara. He said she gives wonderful performances as an actor and has an amazing personality. The production includes people with a wide range of careers, from veterans to newcomers, and because Fujiwara sits in the center, conversation never stops. He felt on set that everyone can talk enjoyably during breaks regardless of seniority because she is at the center. Fujiwara thanked him and tried to praise Ban in return, but Ban stopped the flow, joking that it would become less interesting. Fujiwara insisted it was serious: Ban always tries to connect with everyone and improve the work on any set. He brings up topics with seniors, at which point Ban warned her to be careful with phrasing, and she corrected it to starts conversations. She feels Ban’s passion for improving the work is stronger than most. Because everyone, including Ban, is kind, she can be her lively self. Ban was surprised. Fujiwara said she sometimes shrinks on other sets, so she thinks Ban, who lifts everyone up, is amazing. Ban said he is grateful.

Fujiwara also mentioned Kaho Narumi, who plays Charlotte Wraith, calling her like a rocket. Ban agreed she might be like a rocket. Fujiwara said she has a good eccentricity, and through doing radio together, she realized Kaho-chan is not just someone who livens up a room but also thinks carefully. Fujiwara had thought she was just a fun-loving companion, but Kaho-chan is different. Ban said when the two did radio together, he thought they were both in the same group. Fujiwara replied that it must have been because Ban was there.

Final comments on Episode 25

For the Episode 25 highlights, Ban said that as Ars grows, the world visible to viewers gradually expands. The story has expanded from inside the territory to outside, and in Season 3 it opens up by about two more stages at once. Episode 1 should convey that expansion. He hopes viewers enjoy the widening scope of the work. Fujiwara said Season 2 had many battles, but Episode 1 of Season 3 changes the setting and depicts daily life in a new territory with everyone. In the early part, viewers can feel the bonds and lively interactions among the cast, so she hopes they look forward to it. New characters Zat and Musha also appear from Episode 1, and those unique two bring a new wind. She also pointed to who Ars entrusts his hometown to as another point of attention.
