Anime fans can look forward to a cozy and spirited crossover: characters from Rilakkuma and Haikyuu!! are coming together for clear cards and metallic plastic cards packaged with soft cookies. The collaboration items are scheduled to go on sale in January 2027 at candy sections and other locations in mass retailers nationwide.
A Production I.G Collaboration
The product is part of Rilakkuma x Haikyuu!!, a collaboration project from Production I.G, the studio behind both anime. Rilakkuma is a healing character from San-X, designed from an original concept by illustrator Kondo Aki. The Rilakkuma anime airs every Saturday at 9:25 AM on TBS.
Haikyuu!! is a landmark sports manga by Furudate Haruichi that ran in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) starting in February 2012. It follows high school students pouring their passion into volleyball. The sequel film Gekijouban Haikyuu!! VS Chiisana Kyojin and the special anime Haikyuu!! Bakemono-tachi no Yukue are set for production.
24 Card Designs Across the Schools
The lineup includes 12 clear cards and 12 metallic plastic cards, for a total of 24 types. Karasuno High School appears in four designs: Hinata lying down with Rilakkuma, Kageyama drinking a beverage with Korilakkuma, Tsukishima walking with Kiiroitori in his bag, and Yamaguchi enjoying a relaxing time with Rilakkuma.
From Aoba Johsai High School, the Oikawa and Iwaizumi pair appears, seemingly in the middle of an argument. Nekoma High School brings the Kuroo and Kenma pair, who are shown sharing snacks amicably. Each design reflects the characters’ personalities.
Fukurodani Academy features the Bokuto and Akaashi pair, while Inarizaki High School includes the Miya twins.
The clear cards are designed to be enjoyed with various backgrounds, and the metallic plastic cards have a sparkling holographic finish. The visuals are cute enough to make you want to collect every type. This special collaboration item is available only here, so do not miss it.
