Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru., often affectionately known as OreGairu, is a popular light novel series penned by Wataru Watari. It was published under Gagaga Bunko from 2011 to 2021.
The story charmingly follows Hikigaya Hachiman, a cynical high school student with a distorted view of youth, who is coerced into joining the “Service Club.” This club is where he encounters Yukinoshita Yukino, the school’s most beautiful girl and the club’s president, and Yuigahama Yui, a bubbly and outwardly friendly classmate. Together, they navigate through a series of misguided youthful adventures, trying to help others with their problems.
About the Anime Adaptation
The series achieved remarkable success, topping the “Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!” rankings for three consecutive years in 2014, 2015, and 2016, earning it a spot in the Hall of Fame. It also secured first place in the light novel category at “SUGOI JAPAN.”
The TV anime adaptation began with its first season in April 2013, followed by the second season in April 2015, and the concluding third season in July 2020. Currently, a new light novel project, Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Ketsu, is being published, continuing the beloved narrative.
