Panda Kopanda is teaming up with craft candy brand PAPABUBBLE for a candy mix inspired by its beloved panda family. The Panda Kopanda / Candy Mix will go on sale on October 1, 2026 at PAPABUBBLE Nagoya PARCO store, Daimaru Tokyo store, and the official online shop, priced at 980 yen (tax included).
Released in 1972, Panda Kopanda is a classic animated work from Takahata Isao and Miyazaki Hayao. The heartwarming story follows young girl Mimiko and the panda parent and child, Papanda and Pan-chan, and it remains loved more than half a century later.
A first PAPABUBBLE collaboration
The collaboration between Panda Kopanda and Craft Candy Theater PAPABUBBLE / Papabubure is the first of its kind. The Panda Kopanda / Candy Mix (980 yen, tax included) launches on October 1.
PAPABUBBLE’s artisans express the adorable, warm world of Panda Kopanda in candy form. The expressions of the big-bodied, kind-hearted Papanda and the full-of-energy Pan-chan are packed into cross-sections about 1 cm across.
The collaboration item had previously been sold only at the Nagoya PARCO store. To commemorate the 55th anniversary, sales will begin at Daimaru Tokyo store and the official online shop from October as well. The palm-sized candies let fans enjoy the nostalgic and charming characters of Panda Kopanda.
