The 12th and final episode of Thunder 3 ended with an announcement on Thursday that a second season is scheduled for 2027. A teaser promotional video accompanied the news.
Produced by Unend, the television anime adapts Ikeda Yuuki‘s supernatural mystery manga. The series aired in 12 episodes on July 9, and Netflix simulcast it with subtitles worldwide.
Ikeda serialized the manga in Gekkan Shounen Magazine from May 2022 to June 2026. Kodansha published the tenth and final volume on August 17.
Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English through its Vertical Comics imprint in March 2024. The eighth volume went on sale on February 10.
Thunder 3 placed fourth in the Male Readers’ category in the 2024 edition of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! rankings.
