An advance look at the first episode of the autumn TV anime FX Senshi Kurumi-chan is here. The series has released the synopsis and preview cuts for Episode 1, titled ‘FX tte, Naa ni?’ (‘What Is FX?’), which begins broadcasting on October 1, 2026.
Series Overview
Based on the manga by Demunyan with art by Tansan Daisuki, serialized in KADOKAWA’s Monthly Comic Flapper, FX Senshi Kurumi-chan is a TV anime about a cute but slightly dangerous money game where characters rise and fall with the charts. Ogawa Yuuki directs, with Passione handling animation production.
Fukuga Kurumi is voiced by Suzuki Aina. She is joined by Seto Asami as Kogane Mochiko, Ito Ayasa as Yamashi Mebuki, and Okasaki Miho as Takane Yasuko.
The story follows college student Kurumi, who makes her long-awaited FX (foreign exchange margin trading) debut. Her goal is to recover the 20 million yen that her late mother lost in FX. ‘I’ll get good enough to win back 20 million yen easily!’ she vows. What she enters is a world that can flip from heaven to hell overnight.
Unrealized losses, loss cuts, an unstoppable heartbeat… Even so, she wants to buy, sell, and earn. With the eccentric FX warriors Mochiko, Mebuki, and Yasuko joining in, the market heats up even more. Can Kurumi and the others survive this wild world?
Episode 1 ‘FX tte, Naa ni?’ Synopsis
One day, third-year middle school student Fukuga Kurumi learns that her mother Kozue has lost 20 million yen in FX. If her father finds out, the family might fall apart.
Determined to prevent that, Kurumi decides to learn FX herself and win back the money her mother lost. But Kozue grows more exhausted with each passing day.
Time passes, and Kurumi becomes a college student. At last, she steps onto the ‘battlefield.’
